My name is Dean Farnell, I'm from England. I wouldn't consider myself a serious musician. I just like to write quirky unusual songs and record them in one or two takes and enter then on youtube.
I only picked up the guitar a few years ago. After self teaching myself a few chords, I put together some of my own original songs and sent them out to various radio stations and managed to to get airplay, To date over 200 radio stations have played my songs.
The following tracks have found some success. "Simon Cowell" received an I.A.I.R.A. Top Ten certificate award and topped the UK unsigned artist top 40 chart. "Ghost On The Stairs" features in "Rock & Roll Ghost Stories" a new novel by Stacy McArdie (over 3600 plays on youtube). "The Monsters Ball" became the chosen theme tune to the internet TV show "Late Night at The Horror Hotel" which has had a DVD release. "Jack The Ripper" features on "Late Night at The Horror Hotel" DVD. "666" topped the UK unsigned artist top 40 chart. "Friday The 13th" received airplay on BBC Radio. "Why Don't Christmas Go Away" also received airplay on two BBC Radio stations.
