Texas Red Sullivan, a singer, arranger, bandleader, and songwriter who has shaped the sound of rhythm and blues. He brings a soulful sound to country music still to this day. Having starting playing music at the age of 14, he was "gonna be a rock star", he was sure. Playing covers with local bands in and around Fort Worth Texas before moving to Austin, Texas... now a music capital on its own. Writing originals for the first time he was met with a positive response from college students to grandparents. Then the leader of the band, Red Hot & Ready, they recorded two powerful singles, "Dreaming My Dreams", an upbeat honky tonk number with an R&B edge as well as the tenderly written ballad "Somewhere There's A Lady"... the ultimate in love sick love songs. Texas Red continues to work toward his album release for the near future. Lending his extraordinary vocal ability to partner with his born natural talent to write, he nods his influences to be those of the great Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, and Hank Williams Sr., oh and Willie... of course. Having been blessed to perform on stage with some of his own musical heroes such as, John Lee Hooker and Robert Cray, Joe Ely, Asleep At The Wheel, Jerry Jeff Walker and Tom T.
