                                             Alibi

Alibi was a Canadian country rock band that toured across North America from the early 1980's to the Mid 1990's. The three constants of the band were Dave Clow (lead , background vocals and lead guitar), John Redekop (lead , background vocals and accoustic guitar) and Ried Barton(background vocals and base guitar) They had many members come and go throughout the years.  They were nominated for a Canadian Country Music Award in1989 but lost out to the very talented Blue Rodeo.  They were also nominated for Canadian West Coast County Awards and recieved awards for best group, best video and best single in 1989.  They backed up such artists as Dwight Yokam, Steve Earle just to mention a few.  They appeared at The Craven County Music Festival ( Regina Saskatchewan, Canada ) in 1989.  They also made an appearance at Fanfare ( Nashville, Tennesee) in 1989. They released two cds No Doubt which had the hit song Do You Have Any Doubts and Walk On both of these showed the amazing talent of this hard working group. They also released a video to the song Do You Have Any Doubts that was shot on location in Surrey British Columbia, Canada. Unfortunately for the band all their hard work didn't pay off and they never recieved the Big Break that most artists dream of and they disbanded in the early 1990's and went their seperate ways. Below is a link to their one and only video.
